The Priceless Value of Other People’s Experience

Success Tips & Suggestions

It’s been said that experience is life’s best teacher. I say that just aint so.

Yes, your own experience is invaluable BUT, the greatest teacher in life is other people’s experience.

Think about why you attend seminars. Ask yourself why you read biographies and autobiographies. And why did you even go to college? You have done, or are currently doing, all of these things in order to learn from other people’s experience, yes?

Let’s say you want to start a business. You know that in order to get the business up off the ground it would be a good idea to send a mailing out to a targeted, select group of good potential clients. If even one person from the mailing becomes a client it will mean a lot to your new business so you really need to get it right.

So how would you proceed? Would you throw together an ad or sales letter, get it out there then hope for something good to happen? Or, would you perhaps invest some time and money into learning how to write persuasive sales copy from an established authority on the topic?

The point is, not only will learning from other people’s experience teach you the best way to do something, it will also help you to save a ton of lost time and money in stumbling along trying to learn things on your own.

Discover the value and powerful potential of learning from Other People’s Experience

Have you ever heard somebody say something like, “that’s when a light bulb went on in my head”? Or they might say something like, “when I read that quote I had an ah-ha moment”. I’m sure you’ve even had those types of moments yourself, right? Those “ah-ha” and “light bulb” moments are always the result of hearing something based on somebody else’s experience.

Let’s say you buy a book for $29.95 and in that book you come across an idea which helps you to advance your life or your business to the next level. Was that book worth every penny? Wouldn’t it even be safe to say that the book was actually worth a whole lot more than what you paid? I would say so.

Don’t ever be afraid to invest in other people’s experience. Their experience will become your experiences and that, my friend, is priceless.

Rule No. 1 On How To Succeed In Your Home Based Business Opportunity

Network Marketing, Success Tips & Suggestions

Most of the information you’ll find online about home based business opportunities these days will rehash a lot of the same old stuff. You’ll hear such things as how great it is to be your own boss, time flexibility, freedom from the alarm clock and so on. You’ve heard all of this stuff a thousand times, haven’t you?

You’re already familiar with the benefits a home based business opportunity can provide so now you’re looking for information that can deliver the goods. You know that a work from home opportunity is what you’re after so now let’s talk about how to become successful working from home.

Because all that other stuff about financial freedom, time flexibility, be your own boss and the like will be meaningless if you don’t actually know how to build a successful business from home to begin with.

Before we go any further, the number one most important thing you need to know about how to succeed in a home based business opportunity starts with the 7 inches between your ears. Your mindset will determine, right from the get go, whether or not you’ll succeed.

Allow me to explain this in a bit more detail.

Most people who get started with a home based business opportunity do so with an employee mentality. Employees do not build successful businesses, entrepreneurs do. So if you try to build a business from home with anything less than the mindset of an entrepreneur you’re doomed.

**************************************

How To Succeed In Your Home Based Business Opportunity

- here is the most important thing you need to know.
**************************************

Consider the following. Many people who start a business from home are doing so on a part time basis to supplement their existing income. Or, they do so in response to having lost a job. Whatever the case may be, making the transition in mindset from that of a wage earning employee to a profit driven business owner is paramount.

Along that same line of thinking, what level of effort are you prepared to put into your business? Because remember this, just like all other things in life, you will get from your business what you’re willing to put into it.

If you treat your business like a hobby then don’t expect anything too great to come of it. If, however, you’re serious about your business building efforts and take deliberate actions to become successful in your home based business opportunity then you’ll be giving yourself a huge advantage to succeed.

A big part of how to succeed in your home business opportunity is mental. In fact, most all success in life is having the right mindset. The most important thing a success oriented mindset will do for you is give you the resiliency needed to forge onward when the going gets tough.

And if there is any single thing you can count on in knowing how to succeed in your home based business is that you will experience many times when the going will become difficult.

Now here is a huge secret for you to make sure you have what it takes to see yourself through the rough spots: make sure to choose the right business for you. Do not discount what you’ve just read, this is of critical importance.

You see, here’s the thing; a lot of times a person will get started with one home based business opportunity or the other at the urging of somebody else. Instead of choosing a business best suited to their potential for success, they’ll start a business because somebody else convinces them to do so.

Just picture this; one day the phone rings and on the other end is your friend telling you about this great new business they’ve started. They convince you it’s the greatest thing since the invention of Saran Wrap and you’d crazy not to jump onboard. So you do.

If that’s the case, you did not choose the right business for yourself. You did not choose the business opportunity wisely.

Yes, there’s a chance you can still build a successful business under this scenario. But, the business building effort becomes much more of a crap shoot. When, with just a bit of due diligence up front, you can eliminate this game of chance.

Taking this initial step carefully can mean all the difference to your potential for home based business success.

Hung Up On The Economy? Get Over It!

Success Tips & Suggestions

I recently attended a seminar where I had the opportunity to network with a lot of other people. I noticed a very disturbing pattern amongst all those I spoke with.

Some of the folks at the seminar are doing very well for themselves while most others were struggling financially.

Those I spoke with who are doing well for themselves didn’t mention a thing about today’s economy; not a word about it. Meanwhile those who are struggling – every single one of them – had some negative view of today’s economic times. Some of them even pointed directly to the economy as the reason for their difficulties.

I realized most people are looking for reasons why things are not going the way they’d like them to. Meanwhile, the minority shut out external noise and make good things happen for themselves regardless of what’s going on in the world around them.

I therefore have a challenge for you. Rather than asking yourself “when is this economy going to be over?”, the far more important question to ask is “when am I going to be over this economy?”

Understand that those who are doing well today will always do well regardless of up or down economies. These folks consciously choose to be successful and focus entirely on success while not becoming influenced by external circumstances which are beyond their control.

The very best advice I could possibly give to anyone struggling is to build an at home business and focus entirely on making the business successful.

This is true especially today. There is a massive trend underway as droves of people are turning to the home based business industry as their answer to financial stability.

If you’ve never considered a home based business or maybe have considered it but haven’t done anything about it, now is your time to take action.

What is it you’re good at? What is it you love to do? What do you know that others would want to hear from you?

These are a few questions to ask yourself in order to start generating some home based business ideas. There are many terrific opportunities available today but it all starts with you. There are a ton of resources online to help you build and succeed in a home business but none of those resources mean a thing if you do not take any initiative.

If you’re unsure of what type of business is right for you, I invite you to have a look at my home based business success web site. If you like what you see then there’s a good chance you could become my business partner.

Sadly, today’s home based business trend is going to pass most people by. Don’t let one of those people be you.

You Know You’re Broke When…

Rants & Musings

Have you ever heard the name Jeff Foxworthy? He’s host of the popular game show “Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?” He originally gained his popularity as a standup comic using his signature one liners which began with the statement, “you know you’re a redneck when…”

I hope Jeff Foxworthy won’t mind if I borrow his idea for this article. The title of this post is “You know you’re broke when…” because there are some telltale signs which indicate whether or not you’re broke and more importantly, whether or not you’ll stay that way.

I think you’ll find this piece interesting so, without further ado, let’s get right to it.

You know you’re broke when…

you talk with others about wages, not profits. Broke people rely upon this antiquated thing called a job to maintain their lifestyle. When you have a job you’re an employee and employees are wage driven.

A wealthy person on the other hand is more than likely a business owner. Entrepreneurs strive for business profits and see wages for what they are; a dead end.

Broke people work for wages, wealthy people work for profits.

You know you’re broke when…

you have a person in your life called a boss deciding how much income you’ll receive. Wealthy people have themselves deciding how much income they’ll receive.

Broke people get a raise in wages because their boss decides to give them one. Wealthy people get a raise in their profits because they’ve decided to make it happen.

You know you’re broke when…

you file your tax return as soon after January 1st as possible. When you do so you’re gleefully waiting to see how much of your own money the government is going to give back to you…interest free of course.

Wealthy people file their tax return as close to the April 15th filing deadline as possible. Wealthy people almost always owe taxes and they do not want to give the government their money a day sooner than they have to.

You know you’re broke when…

you’re spending more time every week watching TV than reading books. Wealthy people know that time is the most valuable asset they have and choose not to waste any of it on watching TV excessively. Rather, they invest their time wisely into good quality business and personal development books.

You know you’re broke when…

you’re making payments toward credit card balances every month. Wealthy people pay off the entire credit card balance every month.

Broke people make credit card payments just trying to manage their debt from month to month. Wealthy people do not carry credit card debt forward.

You know you’re broke when…

you spend more time planning your annual two weeks of vacation than planning how to grow your bank account. Wealthy people love to take vacations just as much as anybody else. But, they also know that when they put a sufficient amount of time into planning how to grow their bank account, they can then take more vacations…many, many, many more vacations.

If you’ve just read this somewhat sardonic article and it’s made you a bit uncomfortable, then, guess what, you’re broke.

On the other hand, if you’ve read it and it’s made you chuckle then congratulations, chances are real good you’re wealthy. Or, you’re at least well on your way to becoming wealthy.

If you did not get a chuckle out of this article then it’s time for you to fix your situation. You’ve only got one shot at this lifetime of yours. Do you want to waste it on being something less then you’re capable of?

Or would you rather live the life of freedom and abundance that you so richly deserve? The choice is entirely yours.

You can go to sleep tonight and wake up tomorrow morning and start your routine all over again. Or, you can make this your turning point. You can use what you’ve just read to make now the time for a positive transformation. Nobody’s gonna do it for you, only you can do it for yourself.

Reading a good quality book is the very best way to get started down the road to your transformation from being broke to becoming wealthy. How to become wealthy all starts with you. For free, immediate access to my personal development success book please visit http://www.APlumInTheSyrup.com/
