Recently, while browsing the internet some how I staggered over your ebook, A Plum in the Syrup, which am still reading. The book is generally about success and I think the context of the book is quite in order in the sense it is the wish of everyone to yearn for success in life. Success varies from one person to another since as you’ve mentioned in your book everyone has his/her own definition of success. I think I should congratulate you for your good work and endeavour to enlighten people through writing books, more so, offering them free of charge. This is really philanthropic of you.

Allow me to say something about where come from and Africa at large. This’s a place not short of resourceful people. But the nature of politics has led many of them to migrate mostly to Europe, U.S.A., Australia and Canada to look for greener pasture (brain drain). They have become very successful, though not all of them. Those who remain behind struggle very much to achieve very little. There’s no parity, equality and equity in this vast continent. There so many people with multiple degrees and diplomas still struggling, meaning many have tried to add value to themselves in order to increase their employability. Jobs are scarce and so are business opportunities. This has led so many people to change careers. A good example is me. I have BSc. degree in Chemistry & Physics and a Diploma in Human Resource Management. Due to lack of opportunities I teach Physics & Mathematics in a private high school where salary does not match my qualification. This is my eleventh year since graduation (1999).

For one to secure serious employment s/he must be well connected or have good background. Otherwise possess unique skills or qualifications. It’s my hope that with expanding democracy things will change here in Africa. Anyone regardless of race would be able to create wealth and create opportunities for others.

Lastly, I’m really glad and would like to thank you for sparing some time to read this mail. I know you may have had something more important to do but you chose to read it. THANK YOU.
