Residual income is money paid to you consistently and steadily over time as the result of some body of work you’ve completed once. An example of this might be a recording artist who produces a new CD. They complete the CD once and it then sells for years thereafter providing the artist with a consistent stream of income.

Earned income on the other hand is the way in which the majority of society keeps their income stream going. This form of income requires your direct involvement to keep it flowing. Take a job as an example. The moment you stop working at your job, the income stops.

Earned income is the most insecure form of income there is. We’ve seen all the evidence we need to see about this, haven’t we? With millions of people having been recently laid off from a job you can see for yourself that an earned income stream can be taken away in an instant.

It should be obvious that earned income is a trap whereas residual income can literally set you free. It can set you free from the rat race and enable you to really live the life you were meant to enjoy.

So how is it done? How does the average man or woman develop themselves a residual income? Because let’s face it, there aren’t too many of us who can produce a bestselling CD.
